As a farm kid, I grew up following my father around the barnyard. You know that image of giant footprints in the distance and the little one measuring up the size of their own feet? Welp, I didn’t let that stop me and for quite a few of my (female) farm friends, they had the same experience.
I have a feeling that little Miss Stella Jo is going to follow along in her daddy’s footsteps pretty closely. I love watching the interaction of a dad and daughter and Mike was beaming with pride the day of her newborn session. He pulled out all of the hunting gear, duck calls, wading bibs and more!
Mom is a cow-lover so she will most surely be involved in farm life at some point. Got to represent the Ayrshire breed! Totally enthralled with the milk now-a-days, I’m sure. 😉
Her momma’s maternity session was also cattle themed for a few shots.
Did I mention that they also enjoy the Chesapeake Bay and all of the things that encompass the state of Maryland? It was only fitting that we added a few of their wedding details (you know, those decorations you don’t know what to do with after the big day) to their newborn session. Come to think of it, we should have thrown in some Old Bay (seasoning … for those of you non-Eastern friends).
I’ve been itching to go crab fishing (I’ve never been) and this summer might be my ticket! Of course, the camera comes along, too.
I wish Stella Jo and her parents the best as they adjust to their family of three!
